Niranga's educational journey laid a solid foundation for his diverse career. He completed his GCE Ordinary Level at Isipathana College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and later earned his Senior Certificate from Brisbane Boys’ College in Brisbane, Australia. His academic pursuits continued at the prestigious Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Bachelor of Business (Management). The First Ever IPTV Field Test (2003): Collaborated with Sri Lanka Telecom to conduct the country’s pioneering IPTV field test, paving the way for what is now “PEO TV.”
The First Ever Digital Terrestrial TV Service (2011): Launched Sky TV, Sri Lanka's first digital terrestrial TV service, which was later acquired by Dialog Broadband in 2013.
